Brigid Mae Power donating proceeds from live take of "I Had To Keep My Circle Small" to COPE Galway
Brigid Mae Power has released an alternate version of Head Above The Water album track "I Had To Keep My Circle Small", and is donating 100% of proceeds to COPE Galway's domestic abuse services.
Brigid Mae Power released her Head Above The Water album in June last year, and today (15 March) she's shared a live take of "I Had To Keep My Circle Small" on Bandcamp.
As well as sharing the alternate version, Power revealed that 100% of proceeds from the track will be donated to COPE Galway's domestic abuse services.
She wrote in a statement alongside the link to the track, "This song was written reflecting on how important it is to support women in situations of abuse and assault. It was written in the heat of experiencing a lack of support, understanding and even implications of blame from others who just did not understand the impacts of abuse from men towards women."
