Bon Jovi respond to Rolling Stones ticket furore by offering £12.50 concessions
Bon Jovi have responded to the recent controversy over the inflated price of The Rolling Stones tickets by offering their fans cut-price fees.
The classic rock group are set for a full-length tour during 2013 and have insisted on affordable prices for their shows.
Bon Jovi’s UK promoter Rob Hallett told The Mirror:
“I was delighted when they came to me insisting on ticket prices for the Because We Can Tour next year that enabled all to attend. If we are to survive as an industry we need to move away from the elitist image of high prices and even higher secondary prices. After all rock and roll always was and always should be the music of the people and that means everyone.”
The band added:
“We are in the middle of a recession and that’s why the band think £12.50 is perfect.”
The Rolling Stones prompted criticism last week when tickets to their concerts were priced between £95-£375 each.
