Kaeto has returned with "words" as her first new release of the year.
"words" marks the first taste of new music from Kaeto last year’s INTRO mixtape and the recent Porches remix of her track, "U R MINE".
"’words’ was the first song I ever made with Mathi (Mathi and I wrote INTRO together). Mathi had this really old piano that made such a crazy sound like bones clinking as you played it. We sampled those in the song which adds to the weirdness of the beat," Kaeto explains.
"Lyrically I was really inspired by ‘Wordy Rappinghood’ at the time. The song is about language and how perspective shapes meaning. I have always been really fascinated with language, learning lots of languages from a young age in an attempt to understand how language is put together, inspired by the constant challenge of decoding how people feel," she continues.
"words" is out now.
