Bob Dylan has been awarded the 2016 Nobel Prize for Literature.
The 75-year-old singer/songwriter has been given the prize for "having created new poetic expressions within the great American song tradition".
Born Robert Zimmerman, the iconic figure has been active for over half a century, changing the face of modern music multiple times in the process. Dylan's been a major force on wider society as well - most notably in the 1960s during civil rights and anti-war movements - and remains an immensely influential individual across the world.
Latest record Fallen Angels was released earlier this year.
