Black Deer Festival 2021 cancelled following lockdown exit delay
Kent's Black Deer Festival has been postponed until 2022 following the announcement earlier this week that the next stage of lockdown restrictions being eased has been pushed back until next month.
Jade Bird, Imelda May, Robert Plant’s Saving Grace with Suzi Dian, Frank Turner & The Sleeping Souls, Ward Thomas and more were set to perform at the 2021 edition of the festival, but following Monday's (14 June) lockdown exit delay confirmation from UK PM Boris Johnson, organisers have uploaded a statement confirming the postponement of this year's festival.
The statement reads: "We can't quite put into words how we're feeling right now. And so we'll keep things short. The delay by the government on the easing of restrictions means we're unable to bring you Black Deer Festival 2021."
"It's devastating news for all connected with Black Deer. But we'll be back, in 2022," the statement continued. "We'll soon be sharing the next steps for Black Deer Festival 2022 with all you wonderful ticket-holders who stuck with us. We'll be in touch very soon."
