
Billy Porter to host Island Records' charity auction with Amy Winehouse and Nick Drake items
Island Records have announced a charity auction featuring items from Amy Winehouse, Nick Drake and many others, and it'll be hosted by the multi-talented Billy Porter.
Island Records' One Love COVID-19 Relief Auction auction will be raising money for NHS Charities Together and Feeding America.
Host Billy Porter will be hosting the event, which will include a huge list of items from musicians such as Amy Winehouse, Nick Drake, Grace Jones, Portishead, U2, Bombay Bicycle Club, Disclosure, Dizzee Rascal, Easy Life, Giggs, Jessie J, Oh Wonder, Sam Smith, Sigrid, The Streets, The Specials, and many others.
Some of the notable items include a signed Taylor 3/4 size acoustic guitar that Jack Steadman used to record Bombay Bicycle Club's Flaws album, two care packages from Nick Drake's estate, a private, 20-minute zoom concert and chat with Dermot Kennedy, Giggs' MOBO Award for Best Hip Hop, Bono's handwritten lyrics for U2's "I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For", and a pair of Amy Winehouse's stilettos.
