
Big Red Machine debut new Anaïs Mitchell collaboration "New Auburn" on Stephen Colbert
Big Red Machine performed "New Auburn" from their How Long Do You Think It's Gonna Last? album for the first time last night (10 August) on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
"New Auburn" is the closing song on Big Red Machine's second album How Long Do You Think It's Gonna Last?, and features Anaïs Mitchell.
For the debut performance of the song on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Aaron Dessner, Justin Vernon and Mitchell were joined by Fleet Foxes' Robin Pecknold, The Westerlies, Scott Devendorf of The National, drummer JT Bates and keyboardist Nick Lloyd.
"New Auburn" is yet to get an official release. So far Big Red Machine have shared five songs from their second album, including "Mimi" with Ilsey, Robin Pecknold and Anaïs Mitchell collaboration "Phoenix", "Renegade" featuring Taylor Swift, "Latter Days" with Anaïs Mitchell and "The Ghost of Cincinnati".
How Long Do You Think It’s Gonna Last? will follow the duo's 2018 self-titled debut album, and will feature a star-studded list of collaborators, including another song with Swift, Sharon Van Etten, This Is The Kit, Naeem and more.
