Beyoncé shares RENAISSANCE cover, says album helped "find escape during a scary time for the world"
Beyoncé has unveiled the cover for her forthcoming album RENAISSANCE, and has revealed that working on the record allowed her to "find escape during a scary time for the world".
After returning with the first RENAISSANCE single "Break My Soul" last week, Beyoncé has shared the album artwork with fans on socials, and has also shared a message about the album and process.
Beyoncé wrote, "Creating this album allowed me a place to dream and to find escape during a scary time for the world. It allowed me to feel free and adventurous in a time when little else was moving. My intention was to create a safe place, a place without judgment. A place to be free of perfectionism and overthinking. A place to scream, release, feel freedom. It was a beautiful journey of exploration."
"I hope you find joy in this music," Beyoncé added. "I hope it inspires you to release the wiggle. Ha! And to feel as unique, strong, and sexy as you are."

Renaissance will be Beyoncé's first solo album since 2016's Lemonade. She did team up with Jay-Z on Everything Is Love in 2018, and also released the soundtrack album The Lion King: The Gift in 2019.
