Beyoncé on Renaissance topping Billboard chart: "I'm thankful that it was received and understood"
Beyoncé has shared a new letter to fans after her Renaissance album topped the Billboard 200 albums chart, revealing that she's "thankful that it was received and understood."
Beyoncé's Renaissance album arrived last month, and after topping the UK albums chart last Friday (5 August), the album has also topped the Billboard 200 albums chart in the US, which marks her seventh solo album to top the albums chart, and is also the first album by a female artist to get the top spot in 2022.
Following the chart news, Beyoncé shared a letter to fans thanking them for their "love and support." She wrote, "Nothing made me happier than seeing a club full of people sing every single word to every song from top to bottom. This was years of experimentation. This was years of hard work, blood, sweat, and tears. I'm so grateful and it was worth it. I'm thankful that it was received and understood."
