Beyoncé & Jay-Z sign to Warner/Chappell
Hip-hop power-couple, Beyoncé and Jay-Z have announced that they’re moving their music publishing rights over to Warner Music.
Jay-Z announced earlier this week that he’s making the switch to Warner’s publishing wing, Warner/Chappell, to follow his long-time associate Jon Platt, who recently transferred to the company from EMI Music Publishing.
Jay-Z also revealed that he’s taking his entire Roc Nation label with him, who recently signed Timbaland and Kylie Minogue.
Now, Beyoncé is set to make the jump also, telling CMU: “It’s an honour to join Warner/Chappell Music and to continue working with my friend Jon Platt. I trust his vision and admire his professionalism and I look forward to our partnership”.
Platt has been partnered with Jay-Z since 1996.
