Benjamin Clementine announces new album I Tell A Fly
Benjamin Clementine today announces second record I Tell A Fly and shares new taster "God Save The Jungle".
The new cut comes shortly after the release of sprawling lead single "Phantom Of Aleppoville", and sees Clementine fusing baroque stabs with cinematic sweeps and lilting, waltz-like rhythms.
"I have written my second piece called I Tell A Fly. In little words - it's a story about two wandering flies finding fleet," says Clementine of his forthcoming release. "I am neither a politician nor prophet but an artist who creates to only entertain is no better than a con. I hope this album fulfils its purpose as the continuation from At Least For Now. Thank you for your kindness, warmth, patience and unparalleled support. Ars brevis, vita longa."
Clementine's new LP follows Mercury Prize-winning debut At Least For Now and his collaboration with Gorillaz.
