Bauhaus to reveal first recording session on the group's 40th anniversary
As the band's 40th anniversary approaches, Bauhaus are to release their first recording session from 1979.
The Bela Sessions were recorded six weeks after the band got together in 1979, marking their first recording session as a band.
Spanning five tracks, The Bela Sessions will feature three previously unreleased tracks, as well as marking the first time "Bela Lugosi’s Dead" is reissued on vinyl in three decades.
It will be the first time the track is available digitally too, having been remastered from the original analog tape by Mandy Parnell at Black Saloon Studios (Björk, Brian Eno, Aphex Twin).
The Bela Sessions were recorded on 26 January 1979, and after being released Bauhaus went on to be signed by 4AD, leading to their debut album In The Flat Field.
