BABii shares new album opener "DRiiFT"
BABii has shared new song "DRiiFT", the opening track from her upcoming second album MiiRROR.
After having already previewed MiiRROR with "BRUiiSE" and "SHADOW", BABii has unveiled album opener "DRiiFT", which is inspired by a memory of when BABii was four-years-old and her dad got in an argument with a group of boy racers.
BABii writes of the song on Instagram, "ii wanted thiis song to sound liike thiis wiild experiience that ii had as a chiild_ the road our house was on became a hotspot for joyriidiing at niight and my dad was fumiing about it_ he got so angry at them that he smashed one of thiier wiindscreens wiith a hammer_ whiich resulted iin the joyriiders returniing wiith all theiir mates and a lot of rage_ they started pulliing apart a wall and throwiing briicks at our house and at my dads car_ii remember beiing iin awe of the danger whiile gaziing out the wiindow after beiing told to go iinsiide_ iit ended wiith the next door neiighbour comiing outsiide wiith a meat cleaver and chasiing them down the road_ there was a lot of smashed glass and cars that day_"
MiiROR will follow BABii's 2019 debut album HiiDE. The same year BABii also collaborated with Iglooghost and Kai Whiston on XYZ.
