Babeheaven unveil new song "The Hours"
West London five-piece Babeheaven have returned with "The Hours", marking their first new material since last year's debut album Home For Now.
"The Hours" is Babeheaven's first outing since covering The Cardigans' "Lovefool" in July, and marks their first new material since their debut album Home For Now landed in November 2020.
Speaking about the single, lead vocalist Nancy Andersen said, "When writing this song I was thinking a lot about the concept of time shifting and the realities that we end up repeating and reliving. I wanted to reflect the mundaneness of life in the chorus’ repetition of "on and on"."
"I was also thinking about how irrelevant we can seem when compared to the vastness of the open sky," Andersen added. "The feeling of loneliness that comes when you're sitting on the train looking at people whose worlds seem so far away. But also the unity in knowing that someone else might be feeling the same, remembering that all you need to do is reach out and find company. To be embraced by a community, to not feel alone even when you have been solitary for a while."
