Ariana Grande to star in Wicked film adaptation with Cynthia Erivo
Ariana Grande has announced that she will be starring in the upcoming film of the Tony-winning musical Wicked alongside Cynthia Erivo.
The hit, Wizard of Oz prequel musical, is set to be directed by In the Heights' Jon M Chu, and will star Ariana Grande as Galinda the Good Witch, while the Oscar-nominated Cynthia Erivo will play the Wicked Witch of the West, Elphaba.
Both Grande and Erivo confirmed their involvement with the Wicked film on Instagram last night (4 November).

Wicked will be Grande's first acting role since last year's appearance in Kidding. She's also due to feature in Adam McKay's upcoming film Don't Look Up alongside Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Lawrence and more.
