
Arctic Monkeys are helping Music Venue Trust raise money for grassroots music venues in the UK
Arctic Monkeys have launched a new crowdfunder to help Music Venue Trust raise money for grassroots music venues across the UK, including The Leadmill in Sheffield.
The band regularly played The Leadmill at the start of their career, and have today (11 August) launched a new crowdfunder to raise money to secure the future of the Sheffield music venue following the coronavirus pandemic.
Arctic Monkeys' crowdfunder is launched in conjunction with Music Venue Trust, and will also support other grassroots music venues across the UK.
Alex Turner has also deicded to contribute his black Fender Stratocaster guitar that he played with at The Leadmill and during their Reading 2006 set to a raffle. Tickets are £5, and the raffle is open to anyone over the age of 18 worldwide. The raffle is open until 6pm BST on the 25 August.

Everyone that enters will also gain access to an exclusive viewing of Arctic Monkeys' 2006 Reading Festival set.
Crowdfunder is also waiving its platform fee to make sure every donation goes directly to the cause.
