Arcade Fire to play reopening show at London's KOKO next week
This morning (19 April) London's KOKO venue has announced that it will reopen on 29 April with a special show from Arcade Fire.
The iconic London venue, located near Mornington Crescent tube station, closed its doors in February 2019 to be expanded and refurbished, and was damaged from a fire nearly a year later. Next week, the space will reopen following a £70 million restoration and redevelopment.
After sharing plans for the venue's new spaces in October last year, the venue has confirmed its opening weekend schedule, which features a show from Arcade Fire on the opening night (29 April), followed by Luciano on the Saturday (30 April), and two shows in one day from Central Cee on the Sunday (1 May). Arcade Fire's KOKO show will also be livestreamed via the Amazon Music UK Twitch channel.
Arcade Fire are currently preparing to release their sixth album WE, which will arrive on 6 May. Tickets for Arcade Fire's KOKO show go on sale Thursday (21 April) at midday BST from livenation.co.uk.
