Anna Straker returns with "Break Up Song"
Anna Straker has released new track "Break Up Song" as the latest preview of her upcoming Growing Pains EP.
"Break Up Song" follows last month's "Boys Will Be Boys", September's "Good Days Bad Days" and July's "London Knows".
Straker says of the new single, "I wrote "Break Up Song" the morning after a massive argument I had with my boyfriend. It captures the angst and fear and desperation you feel when you fight with your lover. When you’ve been with someone a long time and feelings build up and release in such an explosive way, it’s consuming. I love the dance floor energy of this heartbreak anthem."
Growing Pains will be Straker's first EP since 2016's Serious.
Discussing the EP, Straker says, "I want this EP to really showcase the issues surrounding mental health with honesty and sincerity, as I know so many people that suffer. I hope it helps to know that we all experience these growing pains."
