Angelo Badalamenti to score next year's Twin Peaks reboot
Angelo Badalamenti, the award-winning composer for the original Twin Peaks run, has signed on to score the upcoming reboot.
Badalamenti is the latest original name to be attached, following many of the actors, as well as creator David Lynch (for now, anyway).
The composer's return was confirmed by Twin Peaks actors Sherilyn Fenn and Sheryl Lee during a panel at Crypticon in Seattle. They also revealed that Lynch would direct 18 episodes, North Bend's Twede’s Cafe will be transformed once more into the Double R Diner, and the whole thing would be filmed in Washington state.
The new series will air on Showtime in 2016. Filming is set to begin in September.
Badalamenti also worked with Lynch on Blue Velvet and Mulholland Drive. In other projects, he's collaborated with Anthrax, Orbital, James and Marianne Faithfull.
