Andrew Hung uncages "Animal", another taste of his first solo album
Andrew Hung of Fuck Buttons has unveiled "Animal", the potent second slice of upcoming solo debut Realisationship.
"Animal" is the second track to emerge from Hung's debut record, following last month's "Say What You Want" track. It's a rickety post-punk cut with mechanical bleeps and bloops - Hung might not be a finely honed vocalist, but he gets the message across with aplomb on this one.
"I had no idea I was going to be singing on this record; it just happened! Gaining the confidence to do that was the hardest part - singing as an expression is very new to me," Hung explains of the LP
"'Animal' is a warning that oppression brings about consequences; we have bred fear and now we are reaping its effects," adds Hung. "We cannot address the external without first addressing the internal."
Fuck Buttons last released an album in 2013 (Slow Focus). Hung's FB partner-in-crime Ben Power is pretty active as Blanck Mass - his latest LP World Eater arrived back in February.
