
Anderson .Paak announced as Vans' first Global Music Ambassador
Anderson .Paak has been named as Vans' first-ever Global Music Ambassador, and is set to release a footwear and accessories collection next month.
.Paak once worked at a Vans store in Topanga Canyon, California, and has today (8 October) been announced as the company's first Global Music Ambassador.
The musician said of the announcement, "I’m honored to be the newest member of the Vans Family and look forward to making history with one of the most respected global brands. I’m thankful for Vans’ partnership with .Paak House and can’t wait to broaden our reach to help even more people tap into their greatest potential."
Tierney Stout, global music marketing lead at Vans added, "We are inspired by AP’s multifaceted creative talent and are excited to continue to partner with him throughout the next year for curated music and art initiatives, product design and enabling creativity within the local community and around the world. Anderson epitomises creative expression and we are thrilled to officially welcome him into the Vans Family."
As well as being announced as Global Music Ambassador, .Paak will release his own footwear and accessories collection inspired by .Paak's Venice and Malibu albums.
He is also one of the global judges for the brand’s Vans Musicians Wanted competition.
The announcement of .Paak's involvement with Vans comes after he released the Timbaland-produced "JEWELZ" on Tuesday (6 October). The animated music video is available to watch at vans.com/andersonpaak.
