
Adwaith release new single "Wedi Blino"
2019 Welsh Music Prize winners Adwaith have shared new cut "Wedi Blino" as the latest preview of their upcoming second album Bato Mato.
"Wedi Blino" is accompannied by a Eilir Pierce-directed video, and follows their February lead outing "ETO".
Adwaith said of the new release, "We wanted to create a big indie pop song that has a melancholy feel to it. It's about being worried that life is going too fast or the worries of a relationship, the overwhelming feeling that you're not good enough and that you are the reason things aren't working out."
"The concept of the video is all about anxiety, feeling detached from the world, feeling like you're the problem always," Adwaith added. "All these emotions that are very apparent in your early 20's. We worked with Eilir Pierce to create this video as we wanted it to be more dramatic and heartfelt than our other videos."
Bato Mato is inspired by the band's trip to Siberia, and shares its name with their guide Bato Mato. It'll follow their 2018 debut album Melyn, which won the 2019 Welsh Music Prize.
The album was largely recorded at Giant Wafer studios in Llandrindod Wells, and saw them reunite with Melyn producer Steffan Pringle (Estrons, Boy Azooga).
