A new MF DOOM and Czarface album is landing tomorrow
A new collaborative album by MF DOOM and Czarface titled Super What? is landing tomorrow, which was originally due for release inn April 2020 before the pandemic altered the plans.
Super What? will be the first new MF DOOM album to be released following his passing last year, and will follow his previous collaborative album with Czarface titled Czarface Meets Metal Face that landed in 2018.
Czarface is a hip-hop supergroup made up of 7L, Esoteric and Wu-Tang Clan member Inspectah Deck. Esoteric announced the new Super What? album on Instagram last night (5 May), writing, "Super What? was recorded and slated to drop in April of 2020. When COVID-19 struck and the world stopped, we chose to pull it, focus on family, and fine tune a few elements on it. What you'll be hearing was finalised, mixed & mastered in the summer of 2020, and it's our honour and privilege to share it with you Friday."
He added, "I speak for everyone involved when I say we were incredibly fortunate to have collaborated with DOOM...he was a one-of-a-kind, never-to-be-duplicated emcee, producer, and visionary. We wish peace and healing to his family, friends and everyone touched by the gifts he shared with the planet. MF DOOM FOREVER."
