A full version of The Smiths' first-ever recording has surfaced online

A full version of The Smiths' first-ever demo of The Cookies' "I Want A Boy For My Birthday" has appeared online.
According to NME, The demo was recorded in 1982 by Morrissey and Johnny Marr on Marr's TEAC tape recorder to give to early bassist Dale Hibbert to learn.
Prior to last weekend, only snippets of The Smiths' cover of The Cookies' "I Want A Boy For My Birthday" had been heard, but on Sunday (15 December) the full, three-minute version surfaced on YouTube.
Multiple reports claim the demo was uploaded by former bassist Hibbert.
