Lana Del Rey would've "sung the entire second verse" on Taylor Swift's "Snow On The Beach" if she knew she was the only featured artist
Lana Del Rey has spoken about her appearance on Taylor Swift's Midnights song "Snow On The Beach", revealing she would've "sung the entire second verse" if she was aware that she was the only featured artist.
In a new interview with Billboard, Del Rey discussed working with Taylor Swift on last year's Midnights song "Snow On The Beach", and revealed she would've had a bigger appearance on the song if she knew no other artist was jumping on the song.
Del Rey said, "Well, first of all, I had no idea I was the only feature [on that song]. Had I known, I would have sung the entire second verse like she wanted. My job as a feature on a big artist’s album is to make sure I help add to the production of the song, so I was more focused on the production. She was very adamant that she wanted me to be on the album, and I really liked that song. I thought it was nice to be able to bridge that world, since Jack [Antonoff] and I work together and so do Jack and Taylor."
Last week Del Rey released her second Did You Know That There’s A Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd song "A&W". Did You Know That There’s A Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd will follow her 2021 album Blue Banisters, and feature 16 songs in total. It also includes contributions from Father John Misty, Tommy Genesis, Jon Batiste and Bleachers.
Earlier this week Caroline Polachek discussed meeting Del Rey "when she was still Lizzy", and said she really admires her.
Lana Del Rey's Did You Know That There’s A Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd album will land on 24 March, and is available to pre-order now.
