Lana Del Rey on her Blue Banisters album: "I didn’t want anyone to listen to it"

Lana Del Rey has spoken about her Blue Banisters album, revealing that she "didn't want anyone to listen to it" and it was only there "in case anyone was ever curious for any information."

Later this month Lana Del Rey will release her Did You Know That There’s A Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd album, which will follow her 2021 album Blue Banisters, and in a new piece with Rolling Stone UK, Del Rey revealed that she didn't promote her 2021 album because she didn't want anyone to listen to it.

Del Rey said, "So, Blue Banisters was more of an explanatory album, more of a defensive album, which is why I didn’t promote it, period, at all. I didn’t want anyone to listen to it. I just wanted it to be there in case anyone was ever curious for any information."

Did You Know That There’s A Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd will feature 16 songs in total, including contributions from Father John Misty, Tommy Genesis, Jon Batiste and Bleachers.

Last month Del Rey revealed that would've "sung the entire second verse" on Taylor Swift's "Snow On The Beach" if she was aware that she was the only featured artist.

Lana Del Rey's Did You Know That There’s A Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd album will land on 24 March, and is available to pre-order now.
