Kendrick Lamar reveals why he stays off social media
Kendrick Lamar has revealed why he stays off social media most of the time, saying, "the moment that you start getting lost in your ego, that’s when you start going down."
In a new feature for The New York Times, Lamar discussed his relationship with social media, and how he likes to stay off it most of the time.
"My social media, most of the time, is completely off," he explained. "Because I know, like ... I can easily smell my own [expletive]. I know. ... Like, I’m not one of those dudes that be like, Oh, yeah, I know how good I am, but I also know the reason why I’m so good is because God’s blessed me with the talent to execute on the talent, and the moment that you start getting lost in your ego, that’s when you start going down."
The feature also reveals that Lamar almost deepfaked Eminem in his video for "The Heart Part 5". Lamar also said he's "never expressed myself the way I expressed myself on this album," and revealed that the initial idea for the Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers live show was "Hood Beethoven".
