Kelly Clarkson announces new album and exclusive Las Vegas residency
Kelly Clarkson announces her tenth studio album Chemistry and an exclusive ten-date residency at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas.
In a short clip shared on socials and YouTube yesterday (26 March), Clarkson explained that she's been working on a new batch of songs for "close to three years now", and wasn't sure if she would ever release any of it. Chemistry will be Clarkson's tenth studio album and the follow-up to her Grammy-nominated When Christmas Comes Around from 2021.
Speaking of the album's origins and how she came to choose the title, she says: "This album is the arc of an entire relationship and a whole relationship shouldn't be brought down to just one thing. There's the good, the bad, and the ugly kind of thing going on. Chemistry can be a really amazing, sexy, cool, fun thing but it can also be very bad for you."
Alongside the album announcement, Clarkson has revealed that she will be holding a ten-date Las Vegas residency. chemistry... an intimate night with Kelly Clarkson, which has been specifically designed for the Bakkt Theatre at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino, will immerse fans in a music experience which spans her two-decade long career.
Clarkson recently released her Kellyoke EP which features six studio versions of popular covers from the Kellyoke segment on The Kelly Clarkson Show.
