Kathleen Hanna announces clothing line featuring Queen Latifah, Run-DMC, Salt-N-Pepa
Feminist icon, musician, and outspoken women’s rights activist, Kathleen Hanna has launched the pre-order for her brand new limited edition “Early Days” apparel line.
The “Early Days” collection celebrates hip hop legends who give us the courage to go after our dreams and to seek out new beginnings. With photography by Janette Beckman, who is revered for her work documenting the burgeoning NYC hip hop scene in the 80s & 90s, the limited-edition collection features Queen Latifah, Run-DMC and Salt-N-Pepa.
With an eye toward sustainability, the “Early Days” collection pre-order is running for two weeks only. This is intended to reduce waste by only printing based on demand. In addition to honouring these groundbreaking legends of hip hop, the goal is to donate $20,000 through proceeds of the collection to Peace Sisters, the non-profit partner for which Kathleen is an ambassador, that supports girls education in Togo, West Africa.
The pre-order campaign for "Early Days", with the goal of donating $20,000 to non-profit partner, Peace Sisters, is available now via earlydays.store.
