John Grant unveils new single "All That School For Nothing" which he originally wrote for Blondie
John Grant has shared "All That School For Nothing", which is the latest single to be taken from his sixth studio album, The Art Of The Lie.
Having previously shared a trailer for the album and recent tracks "It's A Bitch", “The Child Catcher”, John Grant shares his brand new single, “All That School For Nothing”.
Commenting on the track Grant says: “This is a song I wrote for Blondie, but they didn’t want it, so I decided to reclaim it for myself. It was much more electronic at first but when I sang it, it became clear that it was much more of a Cameo or Whodini vibe, which I’m all for!”
Grant has also announced news of three record shop in-store appearances for the week of release, in London, Brighton and Nottingham. The in-store appearances will include a stripped-back performance from Grant, and a Q&A featuring Ivor Guest who produced the album.
The Art Of The Lie due for release on 14 June via Bella Union and available to pre-order now. For more information on the in-store performances, visit johngrantmusic.com.
