Jacob Elordi and Cailee Spaeny to play Elvis and Priscilla Presley in new Sofia Coppola film
Sofia Coppola will direct a new feature film titled Priscilla, which is based on Priscilla Presley's memoir Elvis and Me, and will star Cailee Spaeny (The First Lady, On the Basis of Sex) as Priscilla, and Jacob Elordi (Euphoria, The Kissing Booth) as Elvis.
Following the release of Baz Luhrmann's Elvis film starring Austin Butler, it's been announced that Sofia Coppola is writing and directing a new feature film based on Priscilla Presley's Elvis and Me memoir.
According to Variety, the A24 film will be titled Priscilla, and Cailee Spaeny will take the lead role, and Jacob Elordi will play Elvis. Filming is due to begin in Toronto this autumn.
Priscilla will be the third time Coppola has directed an A24 film, following 2020's On the Rocks and 2013's The Bling Ring.
Although Austin Butler got the lead role in Elvis, director Baz Luhrmann did reveal that Harry Styles was also in the running.
