It looks like Janelle Monáe’s "Float" single is part of a new album
Later today (16 February) Janelle Monáe will release her first single of 2023 "Float", and going by a new Instagram post, it looks like it's lifted from a new album.
"Float" will be Monáe's first new outing since 2021's "Say Her Name (Hell You Talmbout)" protest song featuring Beyoncé, Alicia Keys, Chlöe x Halle, Tierra Whack, Zoë Kravitz, Brittany Howard and many more, and will feature Seun Kuti and Egypt 80. Last night (15 February) Monáe shared a new Instagram post with the single artwork, and it shows the track title over what appears to be an album tracklist, which is largely covered. At the bottom of the left side, it shows part of a featured artist's name, which could possibly be Amaarae.
She's yet to follow up her 2018 album Dirty Computer.
