
Helen Mirren, Steve Buscemi, Oscar Isaac and more to narrate audiobook for Bob Dylan's The Philosophy of Modern Song
The full list of narrators for the audiobook version of Bob Dylan's The Philosophy of Modern Song book has been revealed, and will feature Helen Mirren, Steve Buscemi, Oscar Isaac and more.
Next month Dylan's new book The Philosophy of Modern Song will be released, and today Variety has revealed the full list of narrators for the audiobook version.
The book will feature over 60 essays written by Dylan about songs by the likes of Elvis Costello, Hank Williams, Nina Simone and more. Helen Mirren will narrate Dylan's essay about Elvis Costello & The Attractions' "Pump It Up", Elvis Presley's "Money Honey", Frank Sinatra's "Strangers in the Night" and more, while Steve Buscemi will narrate chapters about songs by The Fugs, Warren Zevon, The Eagles and others.
Other narrators for The Philosophy of Modern Song include Oscar Isaac, Jeff Bridges, Renée Zellweger, Rita Moreno, Jeffrey Wright, John Goodman,Alfre Woodard and Sissy Spacek.
Zellweger will narrate Dylan's essay about Judy Garland's "Come Rain or Come Shine", just a couple of years after Zellweger played Garland in the 2019 film Judy.
Bob Dylan's The Philosophy of Modern Song book will arrive via Simon & Schuster on 8 November, and is available to pre-order now.
