Heather Woods Broderick shares new single "Wherever I Go"
Heather Woods Broderick reveals the final single to be taken from her upcoming album Labryrinth.
"Wherever I Go" is the fourth single to be taken from Labyrinth – Broderick's fifth studio album. Broderick explains that the song is about "having some fun and letting go against the repetitive nature of daily life."
Noting that the song has "a lot of irony and energy in it", she felt that it was important to capture this visually. The video which debuts with the release was conceptualised and directed by Jeremy Johnstone (New York Dolls, Ice Cube, Young Widows), with movement direction by Kacie Boblitt.
Speaking of the visual compontent, Broderick says: “The duality in the lyrics is paralleled inside the day that takes place in the video. The repetitions in daily life are playfully represented in the suburban scenes decorated by glitchy/GIF companions, and the wide open landscape shots reflect the free, pure joy that exists inside each day if you go find it."
"Wherever I Go" follows the release of previous singles, "Admiration", "Crashing Against The Sun", and "Blood Run Through Me".
'Labyrinth' out on 7 April via Western Vinyl.
