Hayley Williams releases 17 new tracks on streaming platforms

On Monday (28 July), Hayley Williams surprised fans by releasing an album's worth of songs via her encrypted website, alongside dropping a new hair dye product from her company Good Dye Young.

The 17-track drop, which fans dubbed Ego after the name of the hair dye, came just days after Hayley Williams premiered a new track, "Mirtazapine" via Nashville radio station WNXP, and performed the track with Bleachers at Newport Folk Festival.

Fans who bought the dye were given a code to access Hayley Williams' website, which then revealed a homepage designed to look like an '00s desktop, featuring 17 brand new solo songs. Just 48 hours later, Williams took down the website, and uploaded a message that read: "Thank you for listening".

The tracks are all now available on streaming services as 17 individual songs, rather than the suspected album, Ego, with Williams curating the listening order via a playlist. The release follows Hayley Williams' two solo albums, Petals For Armor, and Flowers For Vases (Descansos). Williams recently collaborated with Moses Sumney on "I Like It I Like It", as well as Turnstile & Blood Orange on "SEEIN’ STARS". She is also set to feature on Jay Som's forthcoming album, Belong, and David Byrne's first full-length release in seven years, Who Is the Sky?.

Visit your chosen digital streaming platform to listen to the tracks.
