Hayley Williams on Paramore's return: "I think we are about to experience our happiest, most fulfilling moments as Paramore"
In a note shared on the band's Discord, Hayley Williams told fans that she thinks "we are about to experience our happiest and most fulfilling moments as Paramore".
Later today (28 September) Paramore will return with "This Is Why", their first new material in five years, and ahead of their comeback single, Hayley Williams shared a note for fans in the band's Discord yesterday (27 September) about the pandemic and their return.
Williams wrote about being able to "spend consecutive days, months, years, etc., at home" to cook food and see family since 2018, and how she realised how "luxurious all of these things are for anyone, anywhere." She also reflected that the downtime allowed her to recharge for Paramore's return, and thanked their fans for "being so loving and supportive of us as humans first."
As well as writing about the "terrifying" reality of returning to the real world, Williams wrote that it's "the perfect time to take advantage of every opportunity we are given to leverage our platform and all of that for good causes."
"Tomorrow, we start again! - And yet, really, we're just picking up where we left off," Williams added. "For so many reasons I don't even have words for, I think we are about to experience our happiest and most fulfilling moments as Paramore. And when I say, "WE", I do hope by now you know what I mean."
