Hayley Williams drops surprise track, "Good Ol' Days" and debuts EGO album tracks with Bleachers
Hayley Williams has revealed "Good Ol' Days" as the latest track taken from her third solo album, Ego Death At A Bachelorette Party.
After posting over 100 After Laughter-era photographs and video snippets on her Instagram, last night, Hayley Williams has released the new single, "Good Ol' Days". The track comes after the digital release of her third solo album, Ego Death At A Bachelorette Party, and will be among the physical release, alongside the currently unreleased track, "Showbiz".
A deep dive through her Instagram posts reveals that the song may have been written around the time of After Laughter, due to a post from 2018 with the caption "no more talk about the old days / it’s time for something great / i want you to get out and make it work", which reads like an early version of "Good Ol' Days".
As well as releasing the new single, Hayley Williams took part in Rolling Stone's Musicians on Musicians alongside producer and Bleachers frontman Jack Antonoff. In celebration of their interview going live, the duo appeared at a launch event and performed the live debut of "Good Ol' Days", "Love Me Different" and "Kill Me", which also feature on Williams' third solo album, as well as its lead single, "Mirtazapine".
Ego Death At A Bachelorette Party will be released physically on 7 November, and is available to pre-order now.
