Hayley Williams celebrates ten years of Paramore's self-titled album
The vocalist and songwriter took to Twitter on 5 April to issue a statement which reflected on the journey to making Paramore's self-titled fourth studio album, on it's tenth anniversary.
Featuring award winning songs such as "Ain't It Fun" and "Still Into You", Paramore was an album that saw the band push on through after having two founding members (Josh and Zac Farro) depart, leaving remaining members Williams, Taylor York and Jeremy Davis – who later departed in 2015 – trying to salvage what was left.
Williams acknowledges this period in the statement: "10 years ago we put out a record that took a lot of guts and self-determination to make. Mainly because after losing 2 members of the band there was so much discourse around whether or not the band could make anything worthwhile – let alone stay together."

In November 2022, just two months after releasing the title track for their brand new sixth studio album This Is Why, Paramore changed the artwork for the self-titled album to a solo shot of Williams. This signified the band moving on from the past and settling into a new era, with Davis long gone and Zac Farro back in the band after rejoining in 2016.
"Taylor and I wrote these songs having no idea if people would accept a reformed, more liberated version of Paramore. Our fans not only accepted but championed our rebirth," Williams continued. "Thank you for allowing us the room for creative risk and for keeping this story going."
