Hannah Diamond announces new album Perfect Picture
London-based multidisciplinary artist Hannah Diamond announces her second album Perfect Picture, alongside the release of its title track.
The album was produced with Scritti Politti’s David Gamson (Kesha, Chaka Khan, Charli XCX) and includes the recently shared empowering anthem "Affirmations".
Hannah Diamond explains the genesis of her new single: ""Perfect Picture" is the song that kicked off my collaboration with Dave [Gamson] when we first met him on our first ever PC music LA trip in 2016. Since then Dave and I have had countless conversations about what truly makes a perfect pop song. We both shared a strong belief that it's all about how well the song captures the essence of the artist.
Pop music is this magical form of communication to me. It has the power to transform ephemeral things into tangible worlds and help it take on other forms and become expansive. That’s why "Perfect Picture" became the album title track. It really does feel like it captures me. Not just one side of me but all the many layers that make up who I am at my core."
Perfect Picture is a concept-led album, solidifying Diamond's reputation as the original poster girl for PC Music. Following on from her critically-acclaimed 2019 full-length debut Reflections, the album marks a new chapter for the artist, both sonically and as a performer.
“This album is more focused on who I am on the inside, a multi layered self portrait. I’m the girl you already know but grown up. I’m more self assured and exploring my dreams," Diamond says.
"Picture Perfect" is out now. The forthcoming album, of the same name, is set for release on 6 October via PC Music.
