Fans react to Travis Scott announcing album launch show at the Pyramids of Giza
Travis Scott has announced a launch show and livestream for his forthcoming album, Utopia.
Taking to his socials yesterday evening (9 July), Scott has announced the album launch show for his forthcoming album, Utopia, which will take place later this month.
Utopia will serve as the follow-up to 2018's Astroworld. The album was teased last month, with a series of billboards in Los Angeles.
While the album currently has no release date, it is currently available for pre-order, which states that there will be five different album covers, but none of them have been made public yet, and it is unclear whether it will be possible to select a different cover once the order is complete.
Fans have reacted to the livestream and show announcement, highlighting that not everyone was the ability to book a trip to Egypt. "The pyramids? we didnt hit the lottery yet gang we aint got racks for this," one user said, whilst another added: "the pharaons [sic] wwakin up like “yoo ITSSSLITTT”.
In other Scott news, a court has ruled that he will not be held criminally responsible for the deadly crowd surge at the 2021 Astroworld festival. The crowd surge killed ten festival goers who ranged in age from nine to 27. The official cause of death was compression asphyxia, which one expert likened to being crushed by a car.
Utopia is yet to be given a release date.
