Empire State Bastard announce their debut album Rivers of Heresy
Empire State Bastard – consisting of Biffy Clyro's Simon Neil and Mike Vennart of Oceansize – announce their debut album.
Empire State Bastard came together during downtime on Biffy Clyro tours, where Neil and Vennart would share the heaviest music they could find.
Following on from the debut single "Harvest", and a headline tour which sold out instantly, Empire State Bastard – who are completed by Dave Lombardo of Slayer on drums, and Naomi Macleod of Bitch Falcon on bass – have announced their debut album.
As Vennart candidly admits: “I set about making the most fucking poisonous vile music I possibly could, just unabridged hatred in musical form.” Whilst Neil adds: “Lyrically, it’s as misanthropic and nihilistic as I’ve ever written."
Empire State Bastard will play select international festival dates this summer, including UK shows at Download, Glastonbury and ArcTanGent.
