Dua Lipa says she's taking "baby steps" with her acting
Dua Lipa has discussed getting into acting on the latest episode of her At Your Service podcast with Dan Levy, saying that she's taking "baby steps".
In July last year it was announced that Dua Lipa would make her acting debut in Argylle, a spy thriller film also starring Henry Cavill, Samuel L. Jackson, Bryce Dallas Howard and more, and during last week's episode of her At Your Service podcast, she spoke about getting into acting with Dan Levy.
Dua Lipa said, "It's been really great, there’s just parts about, you know, wanting to do small things, for me at the moment that I feel comfortable that I can deliver in. I think the fear of people's opinion and not being good at something like that still scares me whether it's like a small role, especially when it's something that I've never really done before."
When Levy asked if she's been enjoying acting, Dua Lipa replied, "I did, I did. I had a really great time and it was really exciting. But I think for me, it's baby steps. I think that's also the best way to discover yourself as well, rather than throwing yourself in the deep end with something that maybe you can't completely tackle head on. I think my biggest thing would be taking on a really big role and be like, fuck, now I have to be an actor and feel these emotions and feelings on camera when I haven't brought myself up to that point yet. But yeah, definitely really exciting."
In September Dua Lipa spoke about working on her third album, and how it's made her feel "liberated" and "more in control than I thought".
