Dua Lipa granted Albanian citizenship by president Bajram Begaj
Dua Lipa has been granted Albanian citizenship by president Bajram Begaj for making Albanians famous across the world.
Yesterday (27 November) Dua Lipa visited Tirana city hall in Albania, and president Bajram Begaj granted the popstar her Albanian citizenship for her role in making Albanians famous across the globe through her music.
Before taking her citizenship oath, Dua Lipa said, "I will be an Albanian with papers too."
Lipa was granted citizenship ahead of Albania’s 110th anniversary of independence from the Ottoman Empire, which takes place today (28 November).
Back in July Dua Lipa was awarded the title of honorary ambassador of Kosovo while visiting for Sunny Hill Festival.
