Dorian Electra announces their third studio album Fanfare
Following a premiere on BBC 6Music yesterday evening, Dorian has already released their new single "anon".
Dorian Electra, the ultimate pop futurist, announces their hotly anticipated third album Fanfare, alongside the brand new single, "anon".
Earlier this year, in March, they wiped all of their social media profiles and began posting a series of cryptic videos, before returning with the single "Freak Mode", the following month.
Yesterday saw Electra’s newest single premiere on BBC 6Music. Working alongside Clarence Clarity and Klaxon’s Jamie Reynolds, the single sees Dorian Electra take on the absurdities of social media: the obsessive gossip, the rumour mill and anonymous message boards.
The accompanying video, which drops later today, is directed by Dorian Electra and their creative partner, Weston Allen. The music video showcases the extent to which stan culture, on any given day, can lead to anonymous profiles propping you up or dragging you down.
The forthcoming album, Fanfare, follows on from 2019's Flamboyant and 2020’s My Agenda.
