Dolly Parton and Kelly Clarkson to release new version of "9 to 5" next week
Dolly Parton and Kelly Clarkson have announced that their new version of "9 to 5", recorded for the Still Working 9 to 5 documentary, will be arriving next week.
Back in February it was revealed that Parton and Clarkson had collaborated on a new version of Parton's 1980 hit "9 to 5" for Still Working 9 to 5, a documentary that "explores why workplace inequality is no laughing matter in the 40 years since the seminal comedy, 9 to 5 was released in 1980.
The documentary was premiered at SXSW 2022, and the documentary co-director/producer Camille Hardman called the updated version of "9 to 5" "a little bit melancholic."
Last Friday (26 August) Clarkson revealed that the new version of "9 to 5" is getting an official release next week.
