Daughter announces Live at Middle Farm Studios release
Daughter have announced Live at Middle Farm Studios, a seven-track filmed performance celebrating the first anniversary of their latest album, Stereo Mind Game.
The session sees the trio of Elena Tonra, Igor Haefeli and Remi Aguilella return to the intimacy of Middle Farm Studios near Dartmoor, England – where much of Stereo Mind Game was recorded – to perform those songs live for the first time, including the singles, "Be On Your Way", "Party" and "To Rage".
Announcing the release on their socials, the band wrote: "Despite not touring the record, we still wanted to share some of the Stereo Mind Game songs in a live and intimate setting. So we got together last summer and, with the help of a wonderful team, recorded to tape performances of seven songs."
Their first in seven years, Stereo Mind Game was their most optimistic record yet. In the intervening years since their Ivor Novello-nominated soundtrack Music from Before the Storm (2017), Daughter has moved away from their initial London base – Aguilella relocated to Portland, Oregon, Haefeli to Bristol, England – and spent time on their own projects (including Tonra’s debut 2018 solo album under the moniker Ex:Re).
