Claire Rousay releasing EP of Circuit des Yeux -io reworks
Three of Circuit des Yeux's -io songs have been reworked by Claire Rousay, and are being released as a new EP titled Sunset Poem.
As well as announcing Sunset Poem, Rousay has shared a reimagined version of Circuit des Yeux's "Sculpting the Exodus".
Circuit des Yeux, real name Haley Fohr, says of Rousay, "I found Claire Rousay’s music when we were all stuck inside for two years. Her music kind of gave me the atmosphere of company in a solitary reality. It reminded me of the way I used to interact with music when I was a teenager. A room can become a whole ecosystem once the music is playing. Her deft ability to work with sound in a microscopic way is what makes this collaboration so successful."
"It was an honour to give Claire the stems of -io," Fohr continues. "The results are beguiling and immense, like watching lead pipes slowly melt into a metallic river."
The EP will also feature Rousay's reworks of "Vanishing" and "Argument".
Claire Rousay's reimagined version of "Sculpting the Exodus" is out now. The full Sunset Poem EP will arrive on 20 October via Matador Records.
