Circa Waves unveil new single, "Like You Did Before"
Liverpool’s Circa Waves have dropped new single, "Like You Did Before, " which is taken from their forthcoming album, Death & Love Pt.1.
The track follows the album’s first offering, "We Made It", and "American Dream".
“This song is a reminder of a moment in my life that many people don’t know about. Just before my heart operation lying in hospital when life felt uncertain and fragile, I would imagine myself in a packed sweaty indie club, dancing like my life depended on it," explains frontman Kieran Shudall. "It was a daydream, a form of escape and this song fits perfectly into that vision.”
The forthcoming album is set to follow like 2017’s, Different Creatures, 2019’s What’s It Like Over There?, 2020's Sad Happy and their latest, Never Going Under, which was released last year.
Circa Waves will return to the road in February and March next year, embarking on their biggest UK headline tour yet. Across 12 dates, their tour includes a night at London’s O2 Academy Brixton on 26 March, and a hometown show at Liverpool’s Olympia on 1 March.
Death & Love Pt.1 is out on 31 January 2025 via Lower Third/PIAS. Tickets for their headline tour are available now.
