Chris Moyles apologises after announcing new Foo Fighters album live on air
Radio X DJ Chris Moyles has apologised to Dave Grohl after unintentionally announcing that Foo Fighters have a new album on the way live on air.
On Tuesday (7 February) during his breakfast show, Chris Moyles accidentally revealed that Foo Fighters are putting out a new album soon after playing their "Walk" track. He said, "I love that song so much. They’ve got a new album coming out in, er, March, Foo Fighters, which I’m very much looking forward to."
The clip soon made it online, and was mentioned in multiple articles, leading to Moyles addressing the "kerfuffle" on his show earlier today (10 February). He said, "I don’t know what to say without getting in trouble, I don’t know what to say without people going, 'what?', I don’t know what to say without looking stupid. I don’t know what people want me to say."
Moyles concluded, "Look, all I will say is this. I can’t say anymore. Anyway, sorry Dave. I’m really sorry Dave."

If Moyles' accidental announcement is true, the band's upcoming album will follow 2021's Medicine at Midnight and last year's Dream Widow project to coincide with their Studio 666 film. It'll also be their first album since the passing of their drummer Taylor Hawkins.
