
Charli XCX receives BRITs Songwriter of the Year award
The BRIT Awards 2025 with Mastercard has announced that Charli XCX, the most-nominated artist for this year, is also the recipient of this year’s BRITs Songwriter of the Year award.
Charli XCX is nominated for five BRIT awards, the highest number of any artist this year, for the categories of Artist of the Year, Mastercard Album of the Year, Song of the Year with Mastercard, Dance Act and Pop Act.
The BRITs Songwriter of the Year award, recognising exceptional songwriting talent, is decided by a select panel of expert judges, with previous recipients including Ed Sheeran, Kid Harpoon, and RAYE, who won in 2024. Charli XCX's longtime collaborator A. G. Cook, is the recipient of this year’s BRITs Producer of the Year award, reflecting their combined impact on music over the last twelve months.
The BRIT Awards 2025 with Mastercard will take place on Saturday 1 March, broadcast live from 8.15pm on ITV1, STV, ITVX and STV Player. For more information, visit brits.co.uk.
